I have mentioned this before and I will say it again – I am terrible at online grocery shopping. In the past I have ordered 6 bags of carrots instead of 6 carrots, the world’s biggest bottle of sweet chilli sauce and many many more things in error. This week’s online order gone wrong was apples. I wanted to make a lovely apple and frangipani tart (it is full of sugar so I won’t be posting it on here!) and instead of ordering 1 pack of apples I ordered 6 packs. So now I have lots of apples and need to think of things to do with them. I looked through some of my older posts on here and found some great apple related ones so thought I would re-post them here for you with a couple of extra ones for good measure.
(So far I have used 12 out of 24 apples!!)
Carrot and apple stars biscuits
These are still a firm favourite with all my lovely friends and they take hardly any time to make. I always have a stash in my freezer and incredibly both kids like them!
This was a very early post of mine and is still a really popular one. We particularly love the apple crisps and my kids actually prefer them to the shop bought ones.
This old favourite was my first recipe posted on my site. I still make a batch every few days and Little Lady just adores them. I usually use store bought apple puree but you can easily make your own as detailed here.
These muffins are also a really popular recipe and I make them a lot. As above I normally use store bought puree but they work just as well with homemade puree.
This recipe is a great way to celebrate your child’s birthday but without a sugar loaded cake. Top it with one of the suggested frosting ideas and it’s really delicious.
Carrot and Apple Sugar Free Muffins
I found these muffins on a great website and have to admit I didn’t change a thing in the recipe! They are really yummy and you would never know they don’t contain any added sugar. Yummy and perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
