It’s Monday and for MyMiniMeals Mates Monday my lovely friend Anna has given me her delicious and totally easy Meatloaf Muffin recipe. This is a bit like my Any Mince Burger recipe but they are a bit firmer and stick together really well from being made in a muffin case so are perfect for little fingers to pick up. Anna’s original recipe uses beef mince but you can try it with any mince you like or even mix minces. I hope you enjoy!
Biscuits for The Boy
The Boy lost his first tooth today. It’s been wobbly since May and he’s been so upset that it wasn’t falling out when all his friends were losing teeth left, right and centre. Today it finally fell out and he was so excited that I wanted to make him an after school treat. Clearly something loaded with sugar isn’t the best reward for losing a tooth but obviously something made of vegetables just wouldn’t cut it. So, using my new fabulous Star Wars cookie cutters, I made my little lad some yummy sugar (and egg) free biscuits (along with some animal ones for Little Lady).
Vegetarian ideas
I have a few vegetarian friends and usually I just make their children some pasta with my Tomato and Vegetable Sauce or a jacket potato with beans. However I realised that vegetarian food doesn’t have to mean such plain and simple meals so here are 3 vegetarian burger / meatball dishes that are yummy, nutritious and easy to make. They are so delicious they would even tempt the biggest carnivore!
Lots of Breakfasts
I have a Facebook group about recipes for kids and am also a member of a very large parenting group. Without fail every day people ask for healthy and easy breakfast ideas for children. People are very nice and direct the poster to my site so I thought it would be useful to revisit some of my posts on breakfasts and show them all on one page. I have also shown you some recipe ideas that are perfect for breakfast. Everything is so yummy and takes hardly any time to prepare – just what we all want in the morning!
I hope you find these useful and enjoy!
Lovely Lamb Casserole
It’s Monday so that means time for another recipe from one of my lovely friends. Today it’s Sara’s turn with her yummy lamb casserole. Such a simple idea and so versatile for babies and children of all ages as you can tailor the consistency to your child’s needs. It does take a while to cook but it tastes so delicious and is great for all the family. Enjoy! Continue reading
Pumpkin ideas
It’s Halloween tomorrow night and like many households over the world we have bought some pumpkins and have made a very scary guy (according to The Boy). I used to live in the USA and I ate a lot of pumpkin then as it’s not just saved for Halloween over there and they actually eat it rather than only just hollow it out to make a “jack-o-lantern”. I rarely buy pumpkins but when I have done so I have made some really yummy things. So here are some easy and delicious recipes and ideas for all that pumpkin that you probably waste every year when you carve one for Halloween. I hope they make you decide to use it more often in your cooking. Continue reading
Just like Mummy’s mug cake
I have recently been introduced to the incredible concept of a mug cake. This is exactly what it says on the tin – a cake in a mug. They take only a few minutes to make and cook in a microwave and hey presto you have a really yummy and usually very naughty cake. The other day I was eating a particularly naughty one full of chocolate and loaded with sugar and The Boy wanted to try it. Unsurprisingly as it was full of chocolate he loved it. Continue reading
No sugar banana bread

Sugar Free Peanut Butter Banana Muffins
It’s Monday so that means its My Mini Meals Mates Monday! Here is a great recipe for Sugar Free Peanut Butter Banana Muffins from my lovely friend Rachel. I love using bananas in things as they are great sugar replacement and these muffins combine bananas with the deliciousness of peanut butter. For totally sugar free muffins use sugar free peanut butter of which there are a few brands out there. You can make these in standard muffin size cases or in mini ones for bite size loveliness. Perfect for breakfast, snack or a bedtime treat as they won’t send your kids hyper as they have no sugar in them. Thanks Rachel!
